Vicki Isola Prater

Vicki I. Prater, 68, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 2:46 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lima, Ohio on March 20,1957, a daughter of the late William "Bill" Thomas Fredericks and Patricia Ilene (Dysert) Fredericks.

On August 9, 1984, Vicki married Thomas Lynn Prater in Bellefontaine, Ohio and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2021.

Vicki is survived by four children, Brison F. (Ginger) Allmon, and Keenan K. Reames, both of Bellefontaine, Michael L. (Tanya) Prater of Springfield, and Kimberly K. (Rich) Pickering of Urbana; seven grandchildren, Quinn Allmon, and Thomas Ross Allmon, both of Bellefontaine, Hailey Prater of Indian Lake, Braydon Rice, and Samantha Rice, both of Springfield, Rachel Pickering, and Andrew Pickering, both of Urbana; two sisters, Cindi (Raymond) LeVan, and Darci Fredericks, both of West Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.

Vicki attended West Liberty-Salem through her freshman year. She transferred to Upper Sandusky High School for her sophomore year, where she graduated in 1975. Her passion was working with special needs children and adults after high school. In 1981, she attended Clark State College in Springfield and graduated with an Associate Degree in Human Services in 1984. Vicki went on to work in the field of Gerontology. She attended Cornerstone Church in Huntsville.

Visitation will be from 11a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
