Ruth A. Harris

Ruth A. Harris, age 73, of DeGraff, Ohio passed away at 2:25 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022, at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio.

She was born January 11, 1949, in Sidney, Ohio, a daughter of the late Wright and Helen (Ward) Watkins. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by an infant brother Paul Edward Watkins and a brother-in-law, Charles Casey.

Ruth married James William Harris February 8, 1969, and he survives in DeGraff. She is also survived by her three sons: Jeff (Cindy) Harris of Centerville, Steve (Sarah) Harris of DeGraff, and Doug (Janeen) Harris of Canton; seven grandchildren: Natalie, Josh, Alli, Abigail, Jack, Gabriella, and Madeleine; five siblings: Phil (Jayne) Watkins of Sidney, Nancy Watkins Casey of Sidney, Patsy (Bob) Kendall, Jenny (Henry) Sanchez, and Carl (Teresa) Watkins, all of Minster and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Donald) Miller of Bucyrus.

Ruth was dedicated to the Kairos Ministry for 16 years. She served in many positions with them and was involved with a team that reached out to the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville along with traveling to Ukraine with the Ministry group.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, where Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.
