Karen Sue Cavinder

Karen Sue Cavinder, 74, of Quincy, passed away peacefully at 4:25 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on December 8, 1950, a daughter of the late Raymond Boggs and Junaita Estella (Petty) Boggs.

On December 9, 1972, Karen married Ronald Cavinder in Bellefontaine, Ohio and he survives, along with their son, David (Brenda Wallace) Cavinder; two grandsons, Brody Cavinder, and William Cavinder; two sisters, Shirley Reames and Connie Forsythe; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica May Cavinder; and three sisters, Cheryl Ann Fleming, Sharon Boggs, and Cindy Dickinson.

A 1970 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Karen had worked for Walmart, Jackson’s News Stand, and Linda’s Restaurant in Quincy. She was a member of the Quincy Methodist Church and enjoyed word search puzzles.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where Pastor Matthew Wright will officiate a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Rea Cemetery in Bloomfield Township.
