Everett Emerson Shade III

Everett Shade III, 67, of Russells Point, passed away peacefully at 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 7, 1957, son of the late Everett Emerson Shade Jr. and Edith (Puckett) Shade.

On November 29, 1975, Everett married Debra Kay Purtee in DeGraff, Ohio and she survives, along with their son, Dale Lee Shade; granddaughter, Cheyenne (fiancé Branten Lowe) Shade; three brothers, Ken Shade, Steven Shade, and Jim Shade; and several nieces and nephews.

Everett had worked as a molder at the former Hobart in West Liberty. He loved auto racing, drag racing, fishing, cb radios, listening to music, as well as playing and shopping on his computer.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff. Pastor Nate Wilcoxon will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
