Charlotte M. Jackson

Charlotte M. (Knief) Jackson, 90, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 7, 1931, to the late Luther Amos Knief Sr. and Rella Grace (Poling) Knief.

On January 25, 1958, she married Charles A. “Sonny” Jackson and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2019. She is also preceded in death by sisters: Mary E. Wilcox and Viola M “Pete” Shuttleworth; a brother, Luther Amos “Bud” Knief Jr; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Tracy (Randy) Bybee, Jeff Jackson, and Tony (Janet) Jackson; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara E. Allison; and several nieces and nephews.

A homemaker, Charlotte enjoyed cooking, knitting, and sewing. She was an avid bowler and liked to roller skate. She was a member of the Gretna Brethren Church.

Pastor Rob Starnes will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff, Ohio. Visitation will be two hours prior from 11:00 – 1:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
